The introductory letter announces the project's existence as well as its advancement, and asks the manufacturer about his or her interest in developing, manufacturing and marketing the product. It should be addressed to the Vice-President of Marketing or, if that is not possible, to the President. The product/description file positions the product on the market without revealing the invention.
